Dr. Claire Fellman is a Board-certified small animal internist and clinical pharmacologist, bringing specific expertise in immunopharmacology to the board. Dr. Fellman graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biological engineering.  She then completed her veterinary training at Mississippi State University, earning her DVM degree in 2011. Dr. Fellman began researching the effects of cyclosporine on the canine immune system during veterinary school and enrolled in a PhD program that she worked towards while completing advanced clinical training. Dr. Fellman achieved Board certification from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2015 and from the American College of Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology in 2016. After completing her training, Dr. Fellman accepted a position as an Assistant Professor at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. Dr. Fellman's current research continues pharmacodynamic assessment of immunosuppressive drugs in clinical patients and also investigates ways to improve antimicrobial stewardship in companion animal veterinary medicine.
